An indicative example: of 100,000 input-context tokens, Rift avoids 80,000 repeated tokens and delivers 20,000. Illustrative, not measured savings or a guarantee of billing reductions.

This is an early release, with rough edges to work through together. You bring real work and honest feedback. We bring support, a team that listens, and a lasting place in the alpha-release group.

01

First in. From here on.

A lifetime place in the alpha-release group. You’ll receive Rift pre-releases before anyone else, even after this six-week programme ends.

02

A direct line to the team.

Full technical support throughout the programme. Help getting started, working through issues, and making Rift useful in your day-to-day work.

03

Your input has a place.

Help shape features, fixes, and the way we support people. Tell us what matters, what gets in your way, and what we should build next.

04

Part of what comes next.

Membership benefits when Rift becomes available through cloud and accounts. We’ll share the details as those take shape.

02 / What we’re building

Less repetition.
More understanding.

Rift is memory for AI-assisted engineering. The alpha is where we test that idea against real workflows, with three areas at the heart of the work.

Keep the story.

A local, Git-native record of AI-assisted work. Help us make sessions, changes, and checkpoints easier to follow.

Carry context forward.

Recall is built to reuse useful context and reduce repeated reads. Help us understand where it makes a difference in real work.

See the work clearly.

A clearer view of agent activity, token usage, and cost. Help us find the signals that are actually useful.

These are the alpha’s focus areas. Features and integration coverage are still being refined.

Leave your mark.

A little history, at a glance. Character density traces an example month of events, sessions, and checkpoints.

Use Rift in your day-to-day work. Tell us what works, report what breaks, and share ideas or contributions. Your experience will help set the priorities for features, fixes, and support.

During the six weeks, we’ll gather feedback and anonymised usage data to understand how Rift is used, where it falls short, and what needs to improve. We’ll provide full technical support throughout.

Credit where it’s due.

We’ll recognise participating members and their input on an Alpha leaderboard page. Being named is entirely optional. You can help shape Rift without being publicly listed.
